Objectives of the International Alpine Workshops are connecting advanced students (MA, PhD), scientists and practitioners of nature and environmental sciences from Europe (app. 20 persons in max.) and conducting ecological investigations on alpine riparian landscapes together (emphasis on flora, vegetation and fauna). An analysis of biodiversity (target ‐ and invasive species) will be done along the entire river course and additionally knowledge on European Union habitats will be consolidated. Furthermore, information about current conservation research and problems of nature conservation will be discussed.
